Job summary

Piper Glen Dental Group is seeking a Dental Assistant to support our clinical team in delivering the Perfect Patient Experience®. You will assist dentists, take and process x-rays, and maintain a clean, sterile, and welcoming operatory environment in compliance with all safety standards.

Applicants will join a caring team, gain exposure to modern dental technology, and contribute to community health in Charlotte, NC. Competitive pay and benefits are included.

Responsibilities

• Assisting the dentist to gain the patient’s commitment for the best possible treatment with urgency.
• Maintain a clean, sterile, and cheerful environment under the dentist’s direction; complete x-rays and intra-oral pictures as appropriate.
• Sterilize and disinfect instruments, equipment, and operatories in accordance with ADA guidelines and state/federal regulations (OSHA, HIPAA, ADA, etc.).

The Opportunity

As both a patient and clinician advocate, you are a fundamental part of the Perfect Patient Experience®. As a Dental Assistant, you will be responsible for:

• Assisting the dentist as necessary to gain the patient’s commitment for the best possible treatment with urgency.
• You will also maintain a clean, sterile, and cheerful environment where your patients feel comfortable and at the direction of the dentist, complete x-rays and intra-oral pictures of patients as appropriate.
• Sterilizing and disinfecting instruments, equipment, and operatories in accordance with the American Dental Association guidelines while maintaining strict compliance with State, Federal, and other regulations, (e.g., OSHA, WC, Dental Board, HIPAA, ADA, DOL, HR policies and practices)
