Job summary

The Smilist is seeking a reliable and motivated Registered Dental Assistant to join our Brick, NJ practice. You will support clinicians by preparing patients, assisting during procedures, and ensuring a sterile, friendly environment.

Ideal candidates have at least 1 year of dental assisting experience, NJ x-ray and RDA licenses, and strong communication skills to collaborate with the team and ensure high-quality patient care.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Dental Assistant - at least 1 year.
• NJ x-ray license required.
• RDA license.
• Knowledge of dental instruments, equipment, and procedures.
• Prior Dentrix experience preferred, but not required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work well in a team and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
• Attention to detail and a positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a clean, sterile, and cheerful environment where your patient feels comfortable; prepare patients for treatment, and assist the doctors - thereby enabling them to provide efficient quality dental treatment
• Escort patients to and from the front desk
• Prepare tray setups for dental procedures and maintain adequate supply levels in each operatory, ordering and replenishing as needed
• Other duties as assigned by management

• NJ x-ray license required

Position Details

• Schedule: Full Time - some Saturdays required
• Salary Range: $26.00-$30.00/hour
• Location: Brick, NJ
