Job summary

The Smilist Dental in Trenton, NJ is seeking a reliable Dental Assistant to join our team and support high-quality patient care. You will assist doctors, maintain a clean and sterile operatory, prepare patients, and help escort them through the visit.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of dental assistant experience.
• NJ x-ray license is required.
• Familiar with dental instruments and procedures.
• Dentrix experience preferred but not required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Keep patients focused on optimal treatment while addressing concerns and promoting the doctor’s strengths.
• Maintain a clean, sterile, and cheerful environment; prepare patients and assist doctors.
• Escort patients to and from the front desk.
• Prepare tray setups and maintain supply levels in each operatory, ordering as needed.
• Other duties as assigned by management.

We are currently seeking a reliable, friendly, and motivated Dental Assistant to join our growing practice and contribute to our mission of excellent dental care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Keep patients focused on optimal treatment while attending their individual concerns and promoting the good qualities of their doctor
• Maintain a clean, sterile, and cheerful environment where your patient feels comfortable; prepare patients for treatment, and assist the doctors - thereby enabling them to provide efficient quality dental treatment
• Escort patients to and from the front desk
• Prepare tray setups for dental procedures and maintain adequate supply levels in each operatory, ordering and replenishing as needed
• Other duties as assigned by management

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Dental Assistant - at least 1 year
• NJ x-ray license required
• Knowledge of dental instruments, equipment, and procedures
• Prior Dentrix experience preferred, but not required
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work well in a team and handle multiple tasks efficiently
• Attention to detail and a positive attitude

• Salary Range:$21.00-$27.00/hour
