Job summary

The Smilist is seeking a Dental Assistant in Hamilton Township, NJ to support clinicians and ensure a clean, welcoming environment for patients. You will prepare patients for treatment, assist doctors, and maintain operatory readiness while promoting outstanding patient care.

Qualified candidates have proven dental assisting experience, an NJ x-ray license, and strong teamwork and communication skills. Dentrix experience is a plus, and attention to detail is essential for success.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Dental Assistant.
• NJ x-ray license required.
• Knowledge of dental instruments, equipment, and procedures.
• Prior Dentrix experience preferred, but not required.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work well in a team and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
• Attention to detail and a positive attitude.

Responsibilities

• Keep patients focused on optimal treatment and address concerns.
• Maintain a clean, sterile environment and assist doctors.
• Escort patients to and from the front desk.
• Prepare tray setups and maintain supply levels in each operatory.

Key Responsibilities

• Keep patients focused on optimal treatment while attending their individual concerns and promoting the good qualities of their doctor
• Maintain a clean, sterile, and cheerful environment where your patient feels comfortable; prepare patients for treatment, and assist the doctors - thereby enabling them to provide efficient quality dental treatment
• Escort patients to and from the front desk
• Prepare tray setups for dental procedures and maintain adequate supply levels in each operatory, ordering and replenishing as needed
• Other duties as assigned by management

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Dental Assistant
• NJ x-ray license required
• Knowledge of dental instruments, equipment, and procedures
• Prior Dentrix experience preferred, but not required
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work well in a team and handle multiple tasks efficiently

Position Details

• Schedule: Full Time - Monday through Friday and one Saturday per month
• Salary Range: $21.00-$25.00/hour
• Location: Hamilton Township, NJ
