Job summary

The Brandywine School in West Chester, PA is seeking a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to support and mentor children and adolescents in a school setting. This full-time role runs Monday–Friday, 8am–4pm, with a 52-week year and supervision for professional development.

You will work 1:1 with students, ensure safety, provide behavioral health interventions, and deescalate challenging behaviors while participating in a supportive, clinically focused environment.

Qualifications

• Requires a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification from the BACB.
• At least 1 year of work experience with children or adolescents preferred.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• Requires strong verbal and written communication, organizational, and computer skills.

Every day as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) you will:

The Brandywine School located in West Chester, PA offers education curriculum to children functioning at all grade levels. A multi-sensory educational strategy is used at all schools, employing traditional instruction, hands-on and independent learning, as well as technology, to individualize a student’s progress in all academic areas, particularly math and reading. The transition from school to career, and all of the necessary interrelated skills, are a main focus of the school program. Devereux’s approved private schools offer high quality, innovative special education programs that work in tandem with families and school districts to ensure that students can return to their local schools and communities with the tools they will need to succeed. Children and young adults may come to Devereux as a day student, or as a part of residential treatment. EDUCATION: Requires a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification from the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB)

EXPERIENCE: At least 1 year of work experience with children or adolescents preferred. Dependent upon educational background (see above). Requires strong verbal and written communication, organizational, and computer skills.

Must be at least 21 years of age.
