Job summary

Devereux Educational Strategies and Solutions (DESS) in Aston, PA, seeks a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to support students with emotional and behavioral needs in a school-based setting under BCBA supervision.

You will implement evidence-based behavioral strategies, collect data, contribute to PBIS initiatives, and collaborate with teachers and clinicians. Competitive pay and benefits apply; RBT training is provided to eligible candidates.

Qualifications

• Education: HS diploma required; Bachelor’s degree preferred; RBT certification strongly preferred. Will consider candidates in process to complete RBT Certification.
• Experience: Must have one year of experience working directly with children or adolescents with behavioral challenges; CPI Safety certification preferred. RBT experience preferred; training and supervision provided.
• Must have reliable transportation and the ability to handle crisis level behavior.

Join Devereux Educational Strategies and Solutions (DESS) as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) and help students develop the skills, confidence, and independence they need to thrive.

In this school-based role in Aston, PA, you'll work directly with students in an emotional support classroom, providing behavioral and emotional support throughout the school day. Under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA), you'll implement evidence-based behavioral strategies, support student growth, collect data, and help students achieve success academically, socially, and emotionally.

In This Role, You Will:

• Support students with emotional, behavioral, and social needs throughout the school day
• Implement behavior intervention plans and skill-building programs developed by a BCBA
• Assist with classroom instruction and school-wide PBIS initiatives
• Collect and maintain accurate behavioral and student progress data
• Reinforce positive behaviors and teach replacement skills
• Assist with Functional Behavioral Assessments (FBAs) and Positive Behavior Support Plans (PBSPs)
• Collaborate with teachers, BCBAs, and other educational professionals to support student success
• Maintain a safe, supportive, and structured learning environment

Qualifications

Education:High school diploma required. Bachelor’s degree preferred from an accredited college/university in special education, psychology or other related field; RBT certification strongly preferred. Will consider candidates in process to complete RBT Certification.

Experience: Must have one year of experience working directly with children or adolescents who experience behavioral challenges. Experience with crisis intervention/CPI Safety certification preferred. Previous RBT experience preferred, but training and supervision will be provided. Must have reliable transportation and the ability to handle crisis level behavior.
