  • Assist with crisis intervention and use approved physical management techniques when necessary.
  • Support social and academic inclusion efforts for students with disabilities.
  • Adhere to Ipswich Public Schools policies, procedures, and confidentiality guidelines.

Position title: Registered Behavior Technician (RBT)

Minimum Qualifications:



  • High School Diploma or equivalent.

  • Active Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification through the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB).

  • Licensure as required by the state of Massachusetts.

  • Experience working with children or individuals with special needs.

  • Knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles.

  • Ability to collect and interpret data effectively.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team setting.


Essential Functions:

SKILLS, ABILITIES AND KNOWLEDGE:



  • Exhibits the ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing

  • Maintains confidentiality

  • Develops and maintains effective working relationships with students, co-workers, administrators, and the school community

  • Demonstrates the ability to work with teachers and students to support students in the general education classroom

  • Ability to remain on your feet for extended periods.

  • Ability to physically support and, if necessary, manage students exhibiting aggressive behaviors using approved techniques.

  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally.

Salary: upto $42.60 Per Hour
