Job summary

Advanceable ABA is seeking a part-time Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to support in-home ABA therapy for children with autism in Colonial Beach, VA and surrounding areas.

You will work 1:1 under a BCBA, implementing individualized treatment plans and helping children build communication, social, behavioral, and daily living skills. The role offers flexible schedules, paid training, and opportunities for professional growth.

Qualifications

• Active RBT certification; we’ll support your path to certification.
• Passion for working with children and helping others grow.
• 1+ year of experience with kids or individuals with special needs (preferred).
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.
• Strong communication, patience, and professionalism.

Responsibilities

What You’ll Do

As an RBT, you’ll provide individualized 1:1 in-home ABA therapy under the guidance of a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA).

• Working directly with children to implement individualized ABA treatment plans
• Helping children develop communication, social, behavioral, play, and daily‑living skills
• Using evidence‑based ABA strategies and reinforcement techniques
• Tracking progress through accurate session data and clinical notes
• Communicating professionally with families and members of the clinical team
• Participating in ongoing BCBA supervision and training
• Staying active and engaged during sessions, including sitting, squatting, walking, running, and playing with children

What We’re Looking For:

• Active RBT certification, if not we’ll support your path to certification
• Passion for working with children and helping others grow
• 1+ year of experience working with kids or individuals with special needs (preferred)
• High school diploma or equivalent (required)
• Reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license (required)
• Strong communication, patience, and professionalism
• Ability to work in clients’ homes throughout the Colonial Beach, VA area
• Part‑time RBT positions available
• Afternoon and after‑school sessions (Monday–Friday; weekends as needed)
• 15–25+ hours per week depending on your availability and client needs
