Job summary

AbleLight in Missouri is seeking a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to implement behavioral reduction or treatment plans under the supervision of a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA). The role focuses on helping individuals with behavioral-based developmental disorders develop daily living skills and reduce challenging behaviors.

You will collect and analyze data using Central Reach, provide progress updates to families, and ensure that all treatments follow established protocols.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma required; knowledge of ABA principles to include functions of behavior, strategies to prevent challenging behavior, teaching techniques (NET, DTT), and behavior reduction strategies.
  • Preferred 1 year supporting individuals with lifelong disabilities
  • Current and Active Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) Certification granted by the BCBA

Responsibilities

  • Implement treatment plans under supervision of a Board-C Certified Behavior Analyst to reduce problematic behavior or improve daily living skills.
  • Collect and analyze behavioral data using Central Reach software.
  • Provide updates to parents or other caretakers regarding client progress or ongoing treatments, as instructed by the Clinical Supervisor.
  • Ensure that all treatments provided follow established behavior reduction and behavior skills protocols.
  • Possess working knowledge of subject matter and can adapt interventions based on client needs.
  • Maintain client confidentiality and client dignity.
  • Ability to work individually and as part of a team.
  • Be detailed oriented and proficient in oral and written communication.

Minimum Job Qualifications

Education: High School Diploma Basic knowledge of ABA principles to include, but not limited to, functions of behavior, strategies to prevent challenging behavior, teaching techniques (NET, DTT), and behavior reduction strategies.

Experience: Preferred 1 year supporting individuals with lifelong disabilities
