Job summary

Accurate ABA is seeking a compassionate Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to implement ABA programs under a BCBA supervision. You will deliver one-on-one therapy to individuals with developmental disabilities in homes, schools, clinics, and community settings.

The role offers part-time hours with afternoon/evening shifts, opportunities for professional development and a supportive team environment; you will collect data, follow BIPs, and collaborate with families and professionals.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 40-hour ABA training and competency assessment.
  • Current RBT certification by BACB.
  • Experience with individuals with developmental disabilities.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Willingness to travel to client locations.
  • Part-time availability.

Responsibilities

  • Implement behavior intervention plans (BIPs) designed by the BCBA to address target behaviors and skill deficits.
  • Provide direct one-on-one therapy to clients in homes, schools, clinics, and community settings.
  • Collect accurate and reliable data on client progress and behavior using specified data collection methods.
  • Assist in development of individualized treatment goals and objectives based on client needs and assessment findings.
  • Implement behavior reduction procedures to decrease challenging behaviors and promote positive behavior change.
  • Provide ongoing feedback to the BCBA regarding client progress and observations during therapy sessions.
  • Maintain confidentiality of client information and adhere to ethical guidelines and professional standards at all times.
  • Collaborate with other members of the interdisciplinary team, including parents, caregivers, teachers, and other professionals.
  • Participate in regular supervision sessions with the BCBA to review client progress, discuss treatment strategies, and receive feedback.

Job description

Hours: Monday through Friday 5:00pm until 8:00pm

We are currently seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to join our team. The RBT will work under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to implement applied behavior analysis (ABA) programs designed to improve the lives of individuals with developmental disabilities, behavioral challenges, or other special needs. The ideal candidate will have a passion for helping others, strong interpersonal skills, and a willingness to learn and grow in the field of behavior analysis.

Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor's degree preferred).

  • Completion of a 40-hour training course in applied behavior analysis (ABA) and competency assessment.

  • Current certification as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) issued by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB).

  • Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, behavioral challenges, or special needs preferred.

  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build rapport with clients and their families.

  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.

  • Ability to follow directions, work independently, and collaborate as part of a team.

  • Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to various locations for client sessions.

  • Commitment to upholding ethical standards and professional conduct in all interactions.
