Job summary

Accurate ABA in Maryland seeks a compassionate Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to work under the supervision of a BCBA to implement Applied Behavior Analysis programs for individuals with developmental disabilities and related needs.

The role offers afternoon/evening hours (4:00 pm–7:00 pm), competitive pay and a benefits package including health, vision, dental, PTO, 401k, and opportunities for professional development.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required; a Bachelor's degree is preferred.
• Current RBT certification or ability to become RBT within 90 days.
• Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities or behavioral challenges is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Implement behavior intervention plans (BIPs) designed by the BCBA to address target behaviors and skill deficits.
• Implement behavior reduction procedures and strategies to decrease challenging behaviors and promote positive behavior change.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary team, including parents, caregivers, teachers, and other professionals.

The RBT will work under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) to implement applied behavior analysis (ABA) programs designed to improve the lives of individuals with developmental disabilities, behavioral challenges, or other special needs. The ideal candidate will have a passion for helping others, strong interpersonal skills, and a willingness to learn and grow in the field of behavior analysis.

Responsibilities:

• Implement behavior intervention plans (BIPs) designed by the BCBA to address target behaviors and skill deficits.
• Implement behavior reduction procedures and strategies to decrease challenging behaviors and promote positive behavior change.
• Collaborate effectively with other members of the interdisciplinary team, including parents, caregivers, teachers, and other professionals.
• Participate in regular supervision sessions with the BCBA to review client progress, discuss treatment strategies, and receive feedback.

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent (Bachelor's degree preferred).
• Current certification as a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) or ability to become RBT within 90 days.
• Experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities, behavioral challenges, or special needs preferred.
• Reliable transportation and willingness to travel to various locations for client sessions.
