Description

The Registered Behavior Technician will work collaboratively with teachers and other support staff to identify problem behaviors that interfere with the learning process and implement behavior support plans for students requiring consistent and significant behavioral support during the school day. This position works under the direct guidance of a Board-Certified Behavior Analyst, under the direction of the principal and special education supervisor.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Collaborate with building staff to promote positive student behavior through professional development, research, strategies, and modeling of instructional practices supporting positive support and PBIS.
• Demonstrate expertise in data collection and behavioral analysis.
• Assist with behavioral assessments.
• Support BCBA in training staff on data collection, positive behavior supports, intervention techniques, and instructional methodologies.
• Observe, record, and implement positive behavior support plans.
• Participate in parent-teacher conferences, IEP meetings, student team meetings, and building team meetings.
• Develop materials and resources for student interventions.
• Assist teachers with informal behavior plans tailored to individual students’ needs, interests, and abilities.
• Adhere to timelines for data collection and paperwork.
• Participate as a member of the Crisis Response Team.

Position details: Unrepresented employee group; 184 days; 7.5 hours per day. Minimum starting rate: $30/hour, negotiable based on qualifications and experience.
