Job summary

EXA Infrastructure is seeking a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to provide clinical skills instruction and implement behavior reduction protocols for children with Autism and related developmental disabilities. Services occur in home, community, and school settings within the Livonia area.

The role emphasizes data collection, parent trainings, and collaboration with BCBA. Strong communication and dedication to ongoing training are essential for success.

Qualifications

  • Education: High School Diploma required.
  • Preferred Education: Bachelor's or higher in Psychology, ABA, Special Education, Social Work, Health and Human Services, or related.
  • Certification: Active RBT Certified by BACB.
  • Experience: Experience as Certified RBT working in ABA with children 0-16.
  • Preferred experience: Experience with autism and related disorders.
  • Physical requirements: Kneel, squat, crawl, lift, stand and sit for extended period as required by therapy services.
  • Transportation: Reliable transportation and willing to travel between jobs throughout Wayne County.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct client care in 1:1 and group settings using intensive teaching and natural environment training.
  • Follow prescribed behavior skill acquisition and behavior reduction protocols as assigned.
  • Collect, record, and summarize data on observable client behavior.
  • Assist with parent/caregiver training aligned with client treatment and behavior reduction protocols.
  • Communicate progress with parents and caregivers as instructed by the BCBA.
  • Maintain a clean, safe and organized work and therapy environment.
  • Collaborate with treatment team including clients, parents, caregivers, professionals and co-workers.
  • Attend required trainings to maintain knowledge.
  • Maintain client confidentiality and comply with HIPAA laws.
  • Perform all other tasks as assigned.

Hours of operation: Monday-Friday 8am - 5:30pm

Minimum Requirements

Position Summary

The Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) will provide clinical skills instruction and behavior reduction protocols based upon the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis to children with Autism and related developmental disabilities in the home, community and school settings. The RBT will collect data on programs, provide support with parent trainings, and assist the Behavior Analyst in the behavior assessments.

Job Duties
  • Provide direct client care in 1:1 and group settings utilizing a combination of intensive teaching and natural environment training arrangements.
  • Follow the prescribed behavior skill acquisition and behavior reduction protocols as assigned.
  • Collect, record, and summarize data on observable client behavior.
  • Assist with parent/caregiver training in the line with client individualized treatment and behavior reduction protocols.
  • Effective communicate with parents and caregivers regarding client progress as instructed by the Board - Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA.)
  • Maintain a clean, safe and organized work and therapy environment.
  • Collaborate with treatment team including clients, parents, and caregivers, outside professionals, Lead Behavior Technicians, ABA Interns, and co-workers.
  • Maintain and acquire technical knowledge by attend required trainings.
  • Maintain client confidentiality and comply with HIPAA laws.
  • Perform all other tasks as assigned.
