Job summary

New Story Schools in Ohio is seeking a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to support students ages 5–21 by implementing behavior intervention plans and providing individualized assistance that promotes learning and independence.

You will collaborate with teachers, BCBAs, and families to create safe, structured classrooms and monitor progress to adjust supports as needed, helping students build social-emotional skills along the way.

Qualifications

• RBT certification required and valid.
• High school diploma or GED completed.
• Strong communication and collaboration with students, families, and staff.
• Patience, adaptability and emotional intelligence to support diverse student needs.
• Basic computer skills for documentation.

Responsibilities

• Provide classroom support by assisting students with academic tasks, social interactions, and adaptive daily living skills
• Monitor and document student progress, collaborating with the team to adjust supports as needed
• Support self-help skills such as toileting, feeding, and hygiene to encourage independence
• Ensure a safe learning environment by using proactive and positive behavior strategies
• Partner with teachers, BCBAs, and families to maintain consistent, individualized support
