Position Overview
As aRegistered Behavior Technician (RBT)at AutismCOE, you’ll play a crucial role in helping children with autism achieve important developmental milestones through personalized, one-on-one therapy. Under the direct supervision of a BCBA, you’ll work hands-on with clients—making a meaningful impact in a mission-focused setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver personalized ABA therapy sessions under BCBA supervision
- Implement tailored behavior intervention plans and treatment strategies
- Prepare and organize therapy materials prior to each session
- Accurately collect and record behavioral data using digital systems
- Complete detailed session notes and documentation promptly and accurately
- Maintain regular and open communication with your supervising BCBA
- Participate in ongoing training, team meetings, and performance reviews
- Build positive, trusting relationships with clients and their families
- Adhere to HIPAA regulations and ensure client confidentiality
Qualifications
- Active RBT certification or prior experience as an ABA therapist (required)
- High school diploma (Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Education, or related field preferred)
- Background working with children or individuals on the autism spectrum
- Strong interpersonal skills and a patient, compassionate demeanor
Requirements
- Current RBT certification
- Documentation of high school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license, dependable vehicle, and proof of insurance
- Passion for providing outstanding care to clients and families
- Ability to respond swiftly to client needs and movement
- Comfortable being on your feet for much of the day (up to 75%)
- Physically capable of bending, kneeling, squatting, crawling, and sitting on the floor throughout sessions
- Able to move quickly across short distances (up to 100 feet)
- Must successfully pass a background check
