Job summary

AWARE Inc. in Livingston, MT is hiring a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to join our compassionate, community-focused team.

The position is full-time with starting pay between $19.00 and $23.59 per hour, commensurate with experience, and offers a supportive work environment that emphasizes growth and client-centered care. As an RBT, you will implement behavior plans, collect data, collaborate with families and the treatment team, and contribute to a culture of care through ABA-based

Qualifications

• Interpersonal oral and written communications skills to work as a team member, observe and report accurately, learn behavioral methods, follow instructions.
• High School Diploma or HSE is required.
• A valid Montana Driver’s License or the ability to obtain one, and an acceptable driving record.
• An acceptable criminal and protective services background check.

Responsibilities

• Prompts safe and socially acceptable replacement behaviors to build communication, social interaction, and problem-solving skills.
• Increases the frequency or duration of safe replacement behaviors by providing access to reinforcers.
• Accurately collects behavior data including recording methods specified.
• Follows the treatment plan goals and interventions with sound judgment and consultation.
• Collaborates with family and treatment team to provide effective treatment without disruption.
• Educates about ABA, the RBT role, and functions within boundaries of the RBT duties.

Responsibilities

• Prompts safe and socially acceptable replacement behaviors in order to build a repertoire of communication, social interaction, and problem solving skills;
• Increases the frequency or duration of safe and appropriate replacement behaviors by providing access to reinforcers (desired items/actions, attention, or removal of demands/aversive situations);
• Accurately collects behavior data including A-B-C, count, frequency, duration, latency, event, and interval based recording;
• Follows the treatment plan goals and interventions utilizing sound judgment and seeks out appropriate consultation;
• Collaborates with family and treatment team members to provide treatment effectively and without disruption to the environment or other individuals in the environment;
• Educates all those involved about the role of ABA based interventions and the RBT, and functions within boundaries of the RBT role in providing treatment.
