Job summary

AWARE in Livingston, MT is seeking a Registered Behavior Technician to join our compassionate team. The role focuses on teaching communication, social interaction, and problem-solving skills through ABA-based interventions, under supervision and within assigned treatment plans.

You will collect data, implement plan goals, and collaborate with families and treatment staff to minimize disruption while promoting client growth. Equal opportunity employer and supportive work environment offered.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or HSE is required.
• Montana Driver’s License or ability to obtain one.
• An acceptable criminal and protective services background check.

Responsibilities

• Prompts safe and socially acceptable replacement behaviors to build a repertoire of communication, social interaction, and problem solving skills.
• Increases the frequency or duration of safe and appropriate replacement behaviors by providing access to reinforcers (desired items/actions, attention, or removal of demands/aversive situations).
• Accurately collects behavior data including A-B-C, count, frequency, duration, latency, event, and interval based recording.
• Follows the treatment plan goals and interventions utilizing sound judgment and seeks out appropriate consultation.
• Collaborates with family and treatment team members to provide treatment effectively and without disruption to the environment or other individuals in the environment.
• Educates all those involved about the role of ABA based interventions and the RBT, and functions within boundaries of the RBT role in providing treatment.

Requirements

Talents, skills, and abilities:

• Interpersonal oral and written communications skills to work as a team member, to make observations and to report them accurately, to learn behavioral and clinical, methods, and to follow oral and written instructions and have the ability to facilitate meetings;
• High School Diploma or HSE is required;
• A valid Montana Driver’s License or the ability to obtain one, and an acceptable driving record;
• An acceptable criminal and protective services background check.
