Job summary

ISLAND COVE BEHAVIORAL PEDIATRICS L is seeking a Registered Behavior Technician to provide direct patient care to individuals with autism. You will implement behavior-analytic procedures, collect data, and collaborate with BCBA-supervised programs across home, community, and school settings.

The role requires CPR certification, a high school diploma (bachelor’s preferred), and willingness to obtain RBT credentials. Travel to multiple locations and maintaining HIPAA confidentiality are essential.

Qualifications

  • Must be willing to obtain Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification.
  • Minimum of a Highschool Diploma, preferred bachelor’s degree.
  • Valid CPR certification is required prior to starting sessions.
  • Experience working with individuals diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Work 1:1 with children who have special needs in the home, community and/or schools.
  • Run skill acquisition programs developed by the BCBA.
  • Observe and track behaviors using a variety of data collection methods.
  • Learn and implement PECs and/or assistive technology.
  • Intervene with problem behavior and following the treatment plan.
  • Write session notes at the end of session.
  • Attend and participate in company meetings, team meeting, and/or trainings.
  • Travel to different locations.
  • Maintain RBT credential requirements as set forth by the BACB.
  • Maintain confidentiality according to HIPAA guidelines.
  • Reliable transportation.
  • Physical requirements include but is not limited to: kneeling, bending, lifting up to 50 Ibs, running, walking, and standing.
