Job summary

Maxim Healthcare Services in Santa Clara and San Mateo counties is seeking individuals to provide in-home support to children on the Autism Spectrum in San Mateo County, available 2:00 PM and onwards. Training is paid, and we welcome entry-level candidates in psychology, early childhood development, or special education.

Qualifications

• Passion for working with children with special needs.
• Strong communication skills.
• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• College coursework in psychology, education, social work, behavioral science, human development or minimum one year experience with children in roles: Child Development, Camp Counselor, Paraprofessional, Behavioral Interventionist or ABA Therapist.

Responsibilities

• Help children work on social skills, communication skills, and repetitive or restrictive behaviors.
• Document child progress and milestones.
• Follow and implement behavior change plans created by our Board Certified Behavior Analysts.
