Job summary

Our Child Therapy in Yorktown, VA is seeking a passionate Behavior Technician to deliver Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) services, work closely with children and families, and assist in implementing behavior-based treatment plans and data collection. You’ll educate parents and contribute to a supportive team environment.

Job Type: Part-Time (20 Hours) Salary: $24.00 - $28.00 per hour Schedule: Monday-Friday 12:00pm-4:00pm. Work Location: In-Person / Client Home/Daycare - Yorktown, VA.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED equivalent preferred.
• Experience with children and strong people skills.
• Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license required.
• Ability to lift 30 lbs. regularly.
• Strong communication skills (verbal & written).
• CPR/First Aid certification preferred.
• Experience with Autism Spectrum Disorders preferred, but not required (training provided).

Responsibilities

• Work effectively with children.
• Collaborate with Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) and Clinical Director.
• Conduct comprehensive data collection and maintain session reports.
• Implement behavior-based treatment plans.
• Educate parents on classroom support techniques.
• Ensure safety and quality care for clients.
• Establish professional relationships with parents, colleagues, and community resources.
• Maintain training materials and supplies.
• Advocate for children and families, facilitating referrals to community resources.
