Job summary

Achievers ABA Therapy in Hammond, IN is seeking a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to provide one-on-one therapy for individuals with autism. You will implement plans under BCBA supervision and collect data on progress.

The role focuses on developing social, communication, and daily living skills using positive reinforcement, while ensuring a safe, supportive environment; strong communication and teamwork are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience working with individuals with autism or related developmental disabilities is preferred but not required.
• Knowledge of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) principles is a plus.
• Ability to follow instructions and implement behavior intervention plans effectively.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Patience, empathy and compassion when working with individuals with special needs.

Responsibilities

• Implement behavior intervention plans under the supervision of a BCBA.
• Provide direct one-on-one therapy to individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD).
• Collect and record data on client progress and behavior; assist with development and implementation of individualized treatment plans.
• Collaborate with the BCBA and other team members to ensure consistency in treatment approach.
• Support clients in developing and improving social, communication, and daily living skills.
• Use positive reinforcement techniques to encourage desired behaviors.
• Maintain a safe and supportive environment for clients.

Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) Responsibilities:

• Implement behavior intervention plans under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
• Provide direct one-on-one therapy to individuals with autism spectrum disorder (ASD)
• Collect and record data on client progress and behavior - Assist with the development and implementation of individualized treatment plans
• Collaborate with the BCBA and other team members to ensure consistency in treatment approach
• Support clients in developing and improving social, communication, and daily living skills
• Use positive reinforcement techniques to encourage desired behaviors
• Maintain a safe and supportive environment for clients

Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) Experience:
