Job summary

MeBe Family is seeking a compassionate Behavior Technician to teach and support kids with autism in home or MeBe’s Learning Center. You will implement plans from BCBAs to boost communication, self-help, and social skills and report progress in our data system.

The role offers paid training to become an RBT, mentoring from lead clinicians, and a comprehensive benefits package. Consistent weekday availability is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Teach and nurture behavioral, social, communication, and daily living skills in a 1:1 setting with children with autism in home or MeBe Learning Center.
• Follow treatment plans developed by BCBAs to improve communication, self-help, social, and play skills.
• Relay progress data to BCBAs and assist with BCBA assessments.
• Accurately record progress in Central Reach after each session.
• clock in/out and submit session notes in line with ABA and provider regulations.
• Maintain a safe, organized, and tidy workplace.

MeBe Family is a provider of evidence-based therapies for children with autism and other special needs. About What You’ll Work On:

• You'll teach and nurture behavioral, social, communication, and daily living skills in a 1:1 setting to kiddos with autism in their home or at MeBe’s Learning Center

• You’ll follow treatment plans developed by BCBAs that help increase the kiddo's communication, self-help, social and play skills.

• You’ll relay info on your kiddos’ progress to BCBAs to keep them informed and assist with BCBA assessments.

• At the end of each session, you’ll accurately record the kiddo’s progress in our data collection system Central Reach using your work assigned tablet.

• You’ll be responsible for clocking in, submitting your session notes and clocking out to align with strict ABA and Insurance provider regulations.

• You’ll help keep our workplace shipshape, safe, and super organized.

• You’ll help our kiddos with lunch breaks, bathroom breaks and diaper changing.

• You’ll voice questions, issues and concerns to your supervisors as appropriate.

• You’ll help to build positive relationships with families while maintaining professional boundaries.

• You’ll positively contribute to the MeBe Family culture.

Qualifications:

• Consistent availability from Monday through Friday.

• Must be at least 18-years-old with a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

• RBT/CBT certification preferred. Must obtain RBT/CBT certification within 60 days of employment (MeBe will help you!)

• Ability to frequently bend, lift (up to 50 lbs), squat, sit, stand, and/or run (without reasonable accommodations)

• Ability to pass a background check.

• Ability to work with computers.

• If residing in San Diego, AZ, or VA, must obtain CPR/BLS certification before working with clients

• Must have at minimum a high school diploma or equivalent- required. A bachelor’s degree is preferred.
