Job summary

MeBe Family in Tempe, AZ is seeking a compassionate Behavior Technician to support children with autism in home or MeBe’s Learning Center. You’ll implement treatment plans under supervision and help teams track progress.

You’ll document sessions, maintain boundaries with families, and contribute to a supportive, growth‑focused culture. Training to become an RBT is provided, with mentorship and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• 18+ years old with a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
• Ability to frequently bend, lift up to 50 lbs, squat, sit, stand, and run.
• Background check required.
• Ability to work with computers.

Responsibilities

• Teach behavioral, social, communication, and daily living skills in a 1:1 setting at the kid's home or MeBe’s Learning Center.
• Follow treatment plans developed by BCBA staff to improve communication, self-help, social and play skills.
• Relay progress information to BCBAs and assist with BCBA assessments.
• Accurately record progress in Central Reach after each session using the assigned tablet.
• Clock in/out and submit session notes to align with ABA and Insurance provider regulations.
• Maintain an organized, safe, and clean workplace.
• Assist with lunch breaks, bathroom breaks, and diaper changing.
• Raise questions or concerns to supervisors as appropriate.
• Build positive relationships with families while maintaining professional boundaries.
• Contribute to the MeBe Family culture.

To help you prepare for the role, MeBe Family offers one of the top ABA training programs using the Vincent Carbone method. We will invest in two weeks of paid training to prepare you to pass your RBT exam. MeBe Family will also pair you with Supervisors to shadow, ask questions and guide you.

About What You’ll Work On:

• You'll teach and nurture behavioral, social, communication, and daily living skills in a 1:1 setting to kiddos with autism in their home or at MeBe’s Learning Center

• You’ll follow treatment plans developed by BCBAs that help increase the kiddo's communication, self-help, social and play skills.

• You’ll relay info on your kiddos’ progress to BCBAs to keep them informed and assist with BCBA assessments.

• At the end of each session, you’ll accurately record the kiddo’s progress in our data collection system Central Reach using your work assigned tablet.

• You’ll be responsible for clocking in, submitting your session notes and clocking out to align with strict ABA and Insurance provider regulations.

• You’ll help keep our workplace shipshape, safe, and super organized.

• You’ll help our kiddos with lunch breaks, bathroom breaks and diaper changing.

• You’ll voice questions, issues and concerns to your supervisors as appropriate.

• You’ll help to build positive relationships with families while maintaining professional boundaries.

• You’ll positively contribute to the MeBe Family culture.

Qualifications:

• Consistent availability from Monday through Friday.

• Must be at least 18-years-old with a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

• RBT/CBT certification preferred. Must obtain RBT/CBT certification within 60 days of employment (MeBe will help you!)

• Ability to frequently bend, lift (up to 50 lbs), squat, sit, stand, and/or run (without reasonable accommodations)

• Ability to pass a background check.

• Ability to work with computers.

• If residing in San Diego, AZ, or VA, must obtain CPR/BLS certification before working with clients

• Must have at minimum a high school diploma or equivalent- required. A bachelor’s degree is preferred.

• TRICARE-certified
