Major Responsibilities:

What You’ll Do:

As a Registered Nurse in the Emergency Department, you will deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced, unpredictable environment. You will utilize the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care while actively engaging patients and families throughout the continuum.

You will monitor patient conditions, prioritize care needs, respond quickly to changes, and adjust care plans as needed—collaborating with the interdisciplinary team to influence patient outcomes.

You will apply evidence-based practices and participate in unit councils, professional governance, and quality initiatives to improve care processes and enhance patient outcomes.

You will promote a culture of safety by identifying risks, intervening appropriately, and maintaining a safe care environment for patients and team members.

You will administer medications, treatments, and therapies in accordance with clinical protocols while ensuring accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record.

You will demonstrate strong communication, collaboration, and conflict resolution skills, supporting team-based care and appropriate delegation.

You may float to other units or care areas as needed, demonstrating flexibility and adaptability to meet patient care needs.

You will uphold ethical standards, adhere to the ANA Code of Ethics, and contribute to a respectful, inclusive, and patient-centered care environment.

You will support your professional development through ongoing education, maintaining certifications, and actively seeking opportunities for growth.

Schedule Details / Additional Information:
  • Licensure & Certification: RN license in applicable state; BLS required (additional certifications may be required based on specialty)
