Aurora West Allis Medical Center is hiring a Registered Nurse (RN) for the Emergency Department in West Allis, WI. The role supports care for adult and pediatric patients with acute trauma, illnesses, and chronic condition exacerbations, in a level 4 trauma setting.
You will collaborate with a skilled ED team, coordinate patient care, and apply evidence-based practice to ensure safe, therapeutic care and a positive patient experience. Ongoing development and orientation are provided.
West Allis Medical Center is a level 4 Trauma, Primary Stroke, Geriatric Certified Emergency Department that averages around 42,000 visits per year. Staff provide care for adult and pediatric patients experiencing the following: acute trauma with injury, acute illnesses, and exacerbations of chronic health care conditions, women's health issues, and behavioral health concerns. Partner with a highly skilled team of Emergency Nursing staff who value strong relationships as part of a collaborative team to positively impact patient care.
Completion of an accredited or approved program in nursing
One year RN experience preferred or candidates with prior emergency medical services health care experience.
Registered Nurse license issued by the state in which the teammate practices
Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Providers certification issued by the American Heart Association

Coordinating comprehensive patient care through the nursing process to deliver safe, therapeutic care in accordance with established standards, policies, and procedures.

Obtain ACLS, PALS and TNCC certification.
