Job summary

Interstates is seeking a Regional Workforce Planner to translate high-level labor demand forecasts into actionable deployment plans. You will ensure the right people are in the right place at the right time, coordinating with project teams and lane leaders across multiple regional offices.

The role requires an Associate degree and 2-4 years in workforce planning or related coordination, with travel up to 10% and onsite work at regional offices.

Qualifications

  • Associate degree in Business, Operations, HR or related field is required; Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 2-4 years of workforce planning, scheduling, operations coordination or project support experience.

Responsibilities

  • Align with Lane Leaders and project teams to understand current and upcoming labor needs across all active projects.
  • Assign labor efficiently based on skill, location, and jobsite requirements.
  • Maintain updated labor pool availability and anticipate future needs.
  • Maintain regular communication with PMs, Supers, and Lane Leaders.
  • Act as a central point of contact for labor-related concerns from field teams.
  • Ensure accurate and up-to-date entries in the workforce management system.
  • Verify labor requests and forecasts are correct and reflect real-time needs.
  • Ensure labor assignments meet licensing and jurisdictional requirements.
  • Promotes Interstates resource sharing and collaboration across lanes and business units.
  • Generate reports on labor utilization, upcoming workforce availability, and shortfalls.
  • Identify trends and recommend improvements in workforce planning processes.

Education

Associate degree in Business, Operations, HR or related field
