Job summary

Gateway Area Development District oversees the TENCO region workforce program, coordinating Kentucky Career Center services, maintaining confidentiality, and serving as a liaison between management and staff.

The role includes supervising staff, developing policies, monitoring budgets, and ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations while engaging with the community and local offices.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or higher in a human services or business-related field from an accredited college or university.
• Valid driver’s license required. Additional certifications may be required upon hiring.
• Two (2) or more years of related work experience in workforce development and/or non-profit or governmental organization is required. Four (4) or more years of related work experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee workforce program in the TENCO region (Bath, Boyd, Bracken, Fleming, Greenup, Lewis, Mason, Montgomery, Robertson, Rowan counties).
• Liaise with Executive Director and TENCO Workforce Development Director to develop plans, policies, and procedures and evaluate operations.
• Assist with budget development and monitor program expenses; ensure compliance with regulations.
• Supervise staff, complete staff duties, provide feedback, and manage travel/leave approvals.
