Job summary

Gateway Community Action in Kentucky is seeking an Area Coordinator to oversee early childhood programs and ensure efficient, high-quality service delivery. You will supervise staff, coordinate with program managers, and maintain proper classroom coverage and ratios.

You will also manage documentation, engage with parents and the community, and lead staff meetings to address training needs and program improvements.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with a minimum of 2 years experience in management.
• Associate’s Degree or higher in Business Administration/Management with 5 years’ experience in management.
• Experience in budget development and fiscal management is a plus.
• Well versed in Excel, Word, & Internet usage.

Responsibilities

• Provide operational supervision of assigned early childhood program.
• Coordinate with program Managers to align plans with goals and objectives.
• Maintain appropriate classroom coverage and child ratios at all times.
• Complete required documentation and submit records and reports timely.
• Engage parent/community participation to reach non-federal share targets.
• Plan and conduct center staff meetings to address training needs.
