Workforce Intelligence Lab (WIL) seeks a Regional Workforce Development Consultant to lead a regional study translating labor‑market evidence into actionable priorities and implementation recommendations. You will engage employers, educators, and public agencies to shape a practical strategy and roadmap for decision‑makers.

Responsibilities include interviews, data analysis across labor markets, and developing materials to support grant and sponsored‑research proposals.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience leading workforce development strategies, regional talent initiatives, or labor‑market studies.
• Strong research, qualitative and quantitative analysis, stakeholder facilitation, and report writing.
• Experience working with workforce boards, economic‑development organizations, education systems, employers, or public agencies.

The Workforce Intelligence Lab (WIL) delivers applied research and public‑program support for cities, counties, school systems, special districts, utilities, and related agencies. Our work spans workforce and economic development, emergency management and continuity planning, housing and community development, grant administration technical assistance, research and program evaluation, and applied field operations support.

We engage experienced practitioners for both full‑time employment and project‑based contract roles, as applicable to the award and staffing model. Engagements are remote‑first with travel as required for partner and field sites. We build ready teams for live grant and sponsored‑research pursuits.

What you'll do

• Comfortable as a 1099 / project‑based collaborator; remote‑first with travel as client work requires
