Job summary

South Carolina Department of Employment and Workforce (DEW) is seeking a Business Consultant in the Upstate Region. The role supports SC Works Centers, connects jobseekers with opportunities, and collaborates with employers to align workforce development with business needs.

Travel is required to Spartanburg, Cherokee, and Union counties, with a focus on regional business services and customer-oriented support.

Qualifications

• High school diploma with at least four years of recruitment/selection experience.
• Experience in workforce development and agency services.
• Knowledge of EO compliance and job market guidance helpful.

Responsibilities

• Promote SC Works Center services to employers and partners.
• Market SC Works services to employers, focusing on Federal Contractors.
• Coordinate recruitment events and engage with regional business teams.
• Ensure employers receive qualified applicants and accurate job orders.
• Provide ongoing support to SC Works Centers and workforce programs.
