Job summary

Amazon’s Workplace Health & Safety (WHS) team is seeking a dynamic WHS Manager to lead a comprehensive safety program across North American sites. You will drive safety culture, integrate safety into operations, and use data analytics to reduce risk while enhancing productivity.

You will build a high-performing WHS team, coach site leaders, and partner with Operations to execute continuous safety improvements. This role requires 50-70% travel and the ability to manage varied shifts.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
• 5+ years of increasing responsibilities in EHS and/or environmental programs.
• 5+ years of increasing responsibilities in people and performance management.
• Experience in Distribution Center or Manufacturing EHS is preferred.
• Master’s degree preferred.
• Certified Safety Professional preferred.
• Lean principles experience preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to develop and implement department goals and strategies.
• Strong analytical skills with problem solving ability.

Responsibilities

• Lead a comprehensive WHS program across sites.
• Oversee incident management and investigations.
• Develop and lead safety training and staff development.
• Monitor safety assessments and ensure compliance.
• Partner with Operations to integrate safety into daily work.
• Travel 50-70% and manage multiple shifts.
• Maintain stakeholder relationships and drive continuous improvement.
