Job summary

Veolia is seeking an Operations Technician to cover vacations and absences across its water and wastewater facilities. You will assist in the operation and maintenance, perform sampling, record-keeping, and support new account start-ups.

Travel is a key aspect, with extended stays possible while training local teams and coordinating with the SWOT group. The role involves hands-on supervision, process improvements, and ensuring safety and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• Maintain complete operational coverage of Veolia operated facilities during vacations and unplanned absences, with both day and night shift flexibility.
• Develop and deliver hands-on training to local technicians and create electronic training materials.
• Ensure industry standards, record-keeping, lab testing procedures, and preventative maintenance practices are followed.
• Support new account start-up projects with the SWOT team, defining tasks and training needs.
• Provide troubleshooting assistance to technicians and promote proactive decision-making.
• Operate pumps, valves, and motors to regulate flow and collect wastewater samples.
• Maintain accurate client data records including chemical residuals, turbidity, and pressure.
• Comply with Veolia safety programs and analyze lab data to identify treatment issues.
• Coordinate with other operators to maintain treatment equipment, and consult with management on optimal processes.
