Job summary

Veolia is seeking a traveling Wastewater Plant Operator to cover vacations and absences across multiple facilities in the region. The role supports training for local operations teams and assists with start-up projects, while maintaining operations and safety programs.

You will operate equipment, collect samples, analyze data, and collaborate with management to ensure compliant, efficient wastewater treatment. Flexibility for day/night shifts and travel is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; 3+ years in wastewater ops preferred.
• Traveling work experience preferred.
• Operational experience with site-specific equipment.
• Strong mechanical aptitude.

Responsibilities

• Maintain complete operational coverage of Veolia-operated facilities in designated region during vacations/absences.
• Work day and night shifts with flexible scheduling.
• Develop and train local technicians in your region.
• Ensure industry standards and best practices at Veolia facilities.
• Support new account start-up projects as they arise.
• Operate pumps, motors, and valves to regulate wastewater flow and treat water.
• Collect and test wastewater samples and record data.
