Job summary

Equity LifeStyle Properties, Inc. in Phoenix, AZ seeks a Regional Vice President to oversee a diverse portfolio of communities and drive financial performance while delivering exceptional resident experiences.

You will partner with senior leaders to set short- and long-term plans, supervise budgeting, monitor assets, and mentor regional managers. Regular property visits and coordination with governments and trade groups are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• 8+ years of experience in a senior property management role.
• Ability to evaluate properties and capital expenditures.
• Experience assessing, coaching and managing staff.
• Strong financial acumen including problem-solving and critical thinking.
• Ability to travel at least 50% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Oversee a diverse portfolio of properties and ensure region meets financial goals and customer expectations.
• Collaborate with senior management to establish short- and long-term business plans for the communities in your region.
• Organize, supervise and control the planning process for communities and ensure operations meet targets.
• Manage budgeting and ongoing budget compliance within the region; advise on variances.
• Maintain understanding of property condition, market position, resident relations, and staff performance.
• Visit properties regularly to assist regional managers and assess assets and service quality.
• Review monthly financial statements and report variances to senior management as needed.
• Supervise implementation of planned expansion and improvement programs.
• Assist with acquisitions evaluation and preparation of income statements and budgets.
• Represent the company to local/state governments and trade associations.
• Hire, coach, mentor and evaluate regional and community managers.
