Job summary

Markel Corporation in Bedford, TX seeks an experienced outside sales professional to promote company-branded products using a consultative approach across banks, credit unions and finance companies.

You will identify potential clients, present insurance solutions, maintain relationships, and work toward annual sales quotas within a defined territory. A 4-5 year outside sales background and Property & Casualty licensing are preferred.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of property and casualty insurance is helpful.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain Property & Casualty licenses as required by the states within the assigned territory.
• Strong interpersonal and persuasive skills with effective verbal and written communication.

Responsibilities

• Identify potential clients and build relationships through cold calling, networking, and industry events.
• Establish meetings with client contacts and consult on SNC’s products and services.
• Maintain relationships with existing SNC clients and develop solutions to ensure client satisfaction and profitability.
• Meet annual sales quotas for the defined territory by closing deals.
• Maintain accurate client profiles and sales activities in the Microsoft CRM system and complete required paperwork.
