Job summary

ZT Automotive Group seeks a Regional Pre-Owned Manager based in Houston, TX to oversee pre-owned vehicle operations across its markets. You will drive inventory strategy, pricing, merchandising, and aging to optimize profitability and turnover while owning appraisal discipline and wholesale exposure.

This role partners with General Managers and department leaders, has no direct reports, and requires 50–65% travel across markets. A base salary with bonuses and comprehensive benefits is included.

Qualifications

• Experience in pre-owned or used car operations, including inventory management, pricing, and wholesale and retail strategies.
• Proficiency in analyzing market data, sales reports, and performance metrics to make data-driven decisions.
• Ability to coach, influence, and build collaborative relationships across multiple locations without direct supervisory authority.

Responsibilities

• Review market and aging data to guide appraisal and trade-in practices.
• Improve acquisition performance across trade capture, service drive, and off-street purchasing.
• Direct corrective action on aged and at-risk units and review wholesale disposition activity for policy consistency.
• Support merchandising and marketing initiatives for pre-owned inventory.
• Maintain weekly cadence with used vehicle managers and coordinate with auction partners and vendors.
