Job summary

AMBSIMS & Associates Corp is hiring a Regional Truck Driver to transport palletized freight from our Rialto, CA facility to stores across the western and southwestern U.S. The role includes overnight regional travel, backhauls, and manual pallet jack unloading with uniformed appearance.

Trucks are automatic sleeper tractors; you may cover multiple routes and must adapt to weather and road conditions while maintaining safety standards and on-time deliveries.

Responsibilities

• Transport palletized freight from Rialto, CA distribution center to retail locations across Arizona, California, Idaho, Montana, New Mexico, Nevada, Oregon, Texas, Utah, Washington, and Wyoming.
• Operate a consistent weekly route with flexibility to cover alternate routes as needed.
• Complete approximately 3–5 delivery stops per route, plus a backhaul.
• Pick up and transport assigned backhaul freight.
• Safely operate equipment at retail store and dock locations.
• Perform blind-side backing when required at customer locations.
• Follow all company, customer, DOT, and safety procedures.

Regional Truck Driver

Location: Rialto, CA
Operating Area: Western and Southwestern United States
Equipment: Automatic Sleeper Tractors with Dry Van Trailers

Position Overview

The Regional Truck Driver is responsible for transporting palletized freight from the distribution center in Rialto, California, to retail store locations throughout the regional network.

Drivers will typically operate a consistent weekly route but must remain flexible to run alternate routes based on customer and freight needs. This position requires physical unloading, overnight regional travel, backhauls, and the ability to operate safely in varying weather conditions.

Key Responsibilities

• Transport palletized freight in dry van trailers from the Rialto, CA distribution center to retail locations throughout Arizona, California, Idaho, Montana, New Mexico, Nevada, Oregon, Texas, Utah, Washington, and Wyoming.
• Operate a consistent weekly route while remaining flexible to cover alternate routes when customer needs require.
• Complete approximately 3–5 delivery stops per route, plus a backhaul.
• Pick up and transport assigned backhaul freight.
• Safely operate equipment at retail store and dock locations.
• Perform blind-side backing when required at customer locations.
• Follow all company, customer, DOT, and applicable safety procedures.

Driver Unload Responsibilities

This is a driver-unload position. At customer locations, the driver is responsible for unloading palletized freight using a manual pallet jack.

Customer personnel may provide some assistance, but the driver will be responsible for removing the pallets from the trailer and positioning them in the customer's designated receiving area.

Drivers must be comfortable with the physical demands associated with repeatedly moving palletized freight throughout their routes.

Special Requirements

• Must be willing and able to install and use tire chains when weather conditions require them.
• Must be comfortable operating in varying road and weather conditions throughout the regional service area.
• Must assist other DCS/JBI accounts as needed based on freight volume and operational requirements.
• Support of other accounts may be required weekly.
• Drivers are required to wear a company-approved uniform.
• Required uniforms will be provided by the account.
• Must be flexible regarding routes, delivery locations, and changing customer needs.

Truck Information

Drivers will operate automatic sleeper tractors.

• Trucks are assigned to individual drivers.
• Assigned trucks cannot be taken home during scheduled time off.
• Sleeper equipment is provided to accommodate the overnight requirements associated with regional routes.

Compensation

This position offers:

• Annual earnings: $85,000
• Bonus: $10,000

Compensation and bonus eligibility are subject to applicable company and account requirements.
