Werner Enterprises, Inc. is seeking a Traveling Safety Representative - Dedicated to safeguard safety, productivity, and compliance across a defined region. The role emphasizes hands-on training for safety, operations, and maintenance teams to resolve issues efficiently.

This position requires extensive travel (75%) and involves safety analysis, accident reviews, and drug screenings to maintain uniform safety standards across multiple locations.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of safety procedures, policies, and federal regulations.
• Strong one-on-one and group instructional techniques.
• Safety-related decision-making, customer service, and communication.
• Ability to work in outdoor environments and under pressure.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and field safety tools.
• Highly adaptable and able to work independently.
• Availability to travel frequently within the region (75%).

Responsibilities

• Oversee safety requirements across multiple accounts, including orientation, training, accident reviews, and drug screen collection.
• Conduct hands-on training on pre-trip inspections, coupling/uncoupling, and safety maneuvers with demonstrations and feedback.
• Perform daily checks at various locations, assess equipment for damage, and verify inspection reports.
• Lead account-specific orientations for new and temporary drivers at multiple sites.
• Conduct individual safety counseling sessions with drivers with operations and maintenance collaboration.
• Partner with on-site personnel to address safety concerns and training needs.
• Provide 24-hour on-call safety support within the assigned area.
• Execute additional duties as directed.
