Fresh Del Monte Produce Inc. is seeking a Regional Transportation Manager to oversee the trucking fleet across distribution centers, ensuring on-time delivery and superior customer service. The role emphasizes safe, legal, and cost-efficient fleet operations with close coordination to DC leadership.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years in transportation management, knowledge of DOT rules, strong supply chain understanding, and proficiency with Microsoft Office; travel about 25% is required.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of transportation management experience.
• Union experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of DOT rules and regulations for fleet operations.
• Solid understanding of supply chain management.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Willingness to travel approximately 25%.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily trucking fleet operations at distribution centers.
• Maintain and develop a team of drivers, lead drivers, and dispatchers to hit target goals.
• Manage Tractor/Trailer Fleet for each facility/DC and coordinate with location leadership.
• Ensure compliance with safety and DOT regulations for drivers and equipment.
• Monitor fleet Profit and Loss for each DC/Facility.
• Perform quarterly visits to DCs and sales offices in assigned regions.

Purpose of Position:

This position will be responsible for overseeing the Trucking Fleet for Del Monte Fresh Produce Distribution Centers. In this role, will also be directly responsible for the daily operations of the Fleet, with the objective of providing the highest level of customer service and on-time performance, in a safe, legal, and fiscally responsible manner.

Accountabilities:

• Responsible for daily distribution of products to the customer, with the highest level of service and on-timeperformance.
• Maintain and improve an established team of Drivers, Lead Drivers, and Dispatchers to achieve target goals and objectives.
• ManageTractor/TrailerFleet for eachFacility/Distribution Center(DC), whilemaintainingcommunication withlocationGeneral Manager and staff,to achieve common goals.
• Oversee and ensure compliance with safety performance and Department of Transportation (DOT), required rules and regulations for Drivers and equipment.
• Manage Profit and Loss performance for the fleet per DC/Facilityassigned.
• Maintain and improve established vendor relations to achieve the highest level of service, and performance, at the lowest cost possible.
• Conduct quarterly visits to each Distribution Center and Sales offices in assignedregions.

Minimum Requirements:

• At least 5 years of transportation management.
• Union experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge and understanding of Department ofTransportation (DOT)rules and regulations,as relatedtoFleetOperations,DriverQualifications,Hours ofService (HOS), CSA 2010, etc.
• Strong knowledge and understanding of supply chain management.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook).
• Excellent communication skills (oral and written).
• Experience with Transportation Management Systems with McLeod is a plus.
• Must be able to travel approximately 25%.

Preferred:

• 4 year College Degree in Transportation/Logistics (or related business field), and/or a combination of specialized training, and/or equivalent work experience.
