Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Marketing, or related field.
• 15+ years of experience in business development or project leadership in the A/E/C industry.
• In-depth knowledge of transportation and roadway markets (DOT, municipal, regional).
• Proven record of successful pursuit leadership and client relationship development.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
• Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) or equivalent credentials.
• Experience leading multi-office or multi-state business development initiatives.
• Familiarity with CRM tools such as Deltek Vision/Vantagepoint.

Responsibilities

• Lead business development and client engagement across designated regions.
• Identify, pursue, and secure roadway and transportation projects.
• Develop and maintain relationships with key clients, agencies, and partners.
• Collaborate on proposal and pursuit strategies with leaders and marketing.
• Track regional sales pipeline, hit rates, and performance metrics.
• Represent the firm at conferences, associations, and networking events.
• Lead go/no-go evaluations and assist in strategic target pursuits.
• Provide market intelligence and competitor insights to leadership.
• Coordinate with internal teams to align resources with market needs.
• Mentor staff in business development and client relations.
