Job summary

Confidential, based in Elizabeth, PA or the Pittsburgh area, seeks a General Manager to lead operations across school transportation facilities in the region. You will provide leadership to Operations/Terminal Managers and ensure high-quality service, financial performance, and regulatory compliance.

This salaried, exempt role reports to the VP of Operations. Responsibilities include overseeing daily operations, payroll, vendor relations, budgeting and cost control, and developing school

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field required or preferred.
• Experience managing multi-location operations and leadership responsibilities.
• Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements and contract compliance.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all day-to-day facility operations across the region.
• Provide guidance, leadership and evaluation of direct reports.
• Oversee payroll, receivables, payables and month-end close for operations.
• Develop and maintain relationships with customers via visits and meetings.
• Attend school board meetings when contracts are discussed.
• Ensure contracts, leases and regulatory compliance across sites.
• Support labor planning, routing, scheduling and cost control.
• Coordinate financial planning with VP-Ops and Finance.
