The Maine Department of Transportation seeks an Assistant Transportation Engineer for the summer construction season. You will perform moderately complex engineering tasks under limited supervision and may mentor staff on designated projects, contributing to transportation infrastructure.

Responsibilities include inspecting contractor work, interpreting plans and specs, sampling and testing materials, and assisting with design and estimation for winter projects such as culverts and lidar-aligned

Competenze

• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or comparable certification; Engineer Intern Certification required for non-degreed candidates.
• Evidence of licensure/registration or eligibility for licensure in Maine is required.
• Candidates should demonstrate ability to perform moderately complex engineering tasks under supervision.
