Job summary

HDR seeks a South Central Region Transportation Business Group Director to lead the regional transportation portfolio and execute HDR's five-year strategy. You will ensure policy compliance, MOA actions, and effective staff management while delivering value for clients and communities.

You will supervise area leaders, drive staffing plans, and collaborate with HDR’s leadership on strategic pursuits to advance HDR’s mission and culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a Professional, Architecture, Engineering or closely related field.
• A minimum of 12 years experience in related field.
• Demonstrated experience with leading diverse teams.
• Works cooperatively with other regional business group directors, regional and local office managers, technical and marketing directors.
• Committed to quality, improvement and HDR values.
• Strong business skills.
• An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must.

Responsibilities

• Lead Region Transportation Business in executing strategy of 5 year strategic plan and deliver annual plan.
• Engage as Reviewer or Approver for MOA actions and align with HDR policies.
• Support workload and staff balancing, utilization management, retention and recruiting.
• Engage with Area Leadership on salary planning, recruitment and staffing.
• Partner with Regional Directors on client development and pursuit of opportunities.
• Coordinate with Area leadership to implement Area Organization structure and staffing.
