Job summary

HDR is seeking a South Central Region Transportation Business Group Director to lead regional transportation strategy and operations. The role requires deep experience in highways, transit, aviation, and related sectors, with a focus on staffing, budgeting, and client development.

You will partner with area leaders to execute the five-year plan, recruit talent, and uphold HDR values while delivering high-quality projects across the South Central US.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 12–15+ years of experience in transportation leadership roles.
• Demonstrated experience leading diverse teams across regions.
• Strong business acumen, policy adherence, and HDR values.

Responsibilities

• Lead Region Transportation Business in executing the 5-year strategic plan and annual plan.
• Support area leadership with MOA policies, staffing, recruitment, and workload balance.
• Develop and approve MOA actions, requisitions, and offers in Taleo.
• Collaborate with regional leaders to drive client management plans and project delivery.
• Foster an inclusive, high-performance culture across HDR regions and sectors.
