Job summary

TranSouth is seeking a Public Transit Regional Manager to oversee transportation service delivery for an assigned region in Homerville, GA. The role manages operations, staffing, compliance, and financial results, serving as the main local company representative to the contracting agency.

Responsibilities include ensuring performance standards, directing dispatch, and leading service recovery efforts. Travel up to 40% is required within the region, with exextensive collaboration across teams.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of transportation, transit, or logistics operations management experience.
• Demonstrated experience supervising dispatch and driver staff.
• Working knowledge of DOT and ADA requirements for passenger transportation.
• Valid driver's license with an acceptable motor vehicle record.

Responsibilities

• Own daily transportation operations across all locations within the assigned region.
• Meet contract performance standards for on-time performance, trip completion, and service quality.
• Direct dispatch and scheduling priorities to match capacity against demand.
• Lead service recovery when weather, staffing, or vehicle issues disrupt operations.
• Supervise dispatchers, drivers, and site staff; set expectations and hold the team accountable.
