Job summary
La-Z-Boy is seeking a seasoned Training & Development leader to manage regional programs across manufacturing facilities. You will drive onboarding, skill progression, certification readiness, and workforce flexibility while aligning training across operations, safety, and quality objectives.
Partner with HR and plant leadership to maintain training records and compliance, coach Training Coaches, and lead teams to improve KPIs.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree with 4–6 years of experience in manufacturing, workforce development, training, operations, or equivalent.
- 2+ years leadership experience.
- Up to 30% travel.
Responsibilities
- Regional Training & Development Management: Manage execution of Manufacturing Development programs and initiatives across assigned facilities.
- Workforce Capability Development: Support onboarding, skill progression, certification readiness, and workforce flexibility development.
- Training Standardization & Certification: Ensure consistent application of training standards, certification processes, and TWI methodology.
- Training Leadership & Team Development: Provide leadership and coaching to Training Coaches, Supervisors, and training teams.
- Performance & Continuous Improvement: Monitor training effectiveness and workforce readiness KPIs and identify opportunities for improvement.
