Job summary

New Way Trucks is seeking a Regional Technical Service Representative for the Northwest region. This full-time, remote role supports customers and dealers across the territory, diagnosing and resolving complex mechanical issues on class 6-8 truck equipment, with an emphasis on hydraulics, electrical systems, and Can‑Bus networks.

You’ll travel as needed, build lasting relationships, interpret drawings and specs, and provide on-site service and training.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience dealing with technical problems on class 6-8 truck equipment.
  • Strong background working with mobile equipment.
  • Familiar with Can-Bus networks.
  • Experience with hydraulics (pumps/valves cylinders) along with electrical systems and controls.
  • Ability to independently diagnose and resolve mechanical issues.
  • Comfortable using diagnostic tools and technology.
  • Ability to read and understand technical documentation.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Valid driver’s license (CDL is a plus).

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and improve Garbage Truck Bodies and Systems.
  • Make warranty decisions on behalf of New Way.
  • Help dealers solve difficult technical problems on New Way bodies and systems.
  • Provide on-site technical support to customers, dealers, and internal teams.
  • Inspect equipment for maintenance, warranty, and upgrade needs.
  • Identify recurring issues and help implement preventative solutions.
  • Support dealer training, product demonstrations, and provide service education for dealers and customers as needed.
  • Interpret technical drawings, schematics, and engineering specs.
  • Perform scheduled and emergency maintenance if needed to keep customer equipment, company-owned equipment or dealer equipment operating efficiently.
  • Build lasting relationships through professional, customer-first service.
  • Become an expert in hydraulic and electrical systems and controls along with steel truck body structures.
