Job summary

Vergo Pest Management Ltd is expanding in the West Midlands and Yorkshire region and is seeking a Regional Team Leader to oversee pest control operations across Bradford, Doncaster, Hull, Leeds, York and surrounding areas.

The role targets an experienced pest control technician ready to move into management, providing training and support to technicians while driving service quality, safety and sales opportunities. A full UK driving licence and BPCA/RSPH qualifications are required.

Qualifications

• Full UK Driving Licence is required.
• BPCA Accredited Technician in Pest Control is required.
• RSPH Level 2 Award is required.
• Proven experience within Pest Control, ideally more than 2 years.
• Good communication skills written and verbal.
• Ability to work effectively and independently with minimal supervision.
• Methodical and systematic in approach.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Experience of rodent proofing work is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Undertake general service work for eradication and treatment of pests.
• Record all visits to customers via our smartphone app.
• Overseeing training of new starters and existing technicians within the region.
• Provide technical support on a day-to-day basis and support front line training for technicians.
• Provide support to the business in front line customer engagement.
• Maximise sales opportunities via self-sold and lead submission.
• Help with mobilisation planning for new large contracts.
• Support the Area Manager in maximising productivity across the region.
• Any other ad hoc duties required by the business.

This role offers a great opportunity for an experienced pest control technician, as a first step towards a management role in Vergo Pest Management Ltd. Experience and qualifications in the Pest Control field is essential for this role.

You’ll be at the sharp end of our service for commercial and residential properties where you'll be visiting our customers across your area to make inspections and carry out treatments, as well as promoting additional work if the opportunity arises.

Plus you will provide training and support to technicians within the team as required, helping develop their skills and knowledge while also developing your own as a future manager.

Main duties

Essential criteria

• Full UK Drivers Licence
• BPCA Accredited Technician in Pest Control
• RSPH Level 2 Award
• Proven experience within Pest Control, ideally more than 2 years
• Good communication skills written and verbal
• The ability to work effectively and independently with minimal supervision.
• To be methodical and systematic in your approach to work.
• Have excellent attention to detail
• Experience of carrying out all elements of rodent proofing work.

Preferred Criteria

• Previous supervisory/management experience is desirable but not essential.
