Job summary

Westwood Professional Services, Inc. is seeking a Survey Project Lead to manage and coordinate region-wide survey services, mentor local leaders, and develop annual business plans and strategic growth for the division.

You will collaborate with the Division Service Leader and Regional Leader to drive service initiatives, maintain standards, and stay ahead of industry trends while ensuring compliance with policies and safety programs.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of the survey service consulting business.
• Must hold a professional survey license.
• Four year degree related to land surveying is required.
• Excellent client relation skills.
• 10-15 years of experience in survey service.
• Excellent technical and project management skills.
• Experience in operations and business practices.
• Independent judgement is essential.

Responsibilities

• Develop and coordinate service-specific education and staff development in the region.
• Work with Division Survey Service Leader, Regional Leader, and local service leaders to develop and implement a strategic plan to advance service initiatives that supports the goals of the division.
• Provide leadership, mentoring and empowerment to local service leaders in each office.
• Develop short- and long-term growth plans for the survey service.
• Ensure company culture, policies and procedures are consistently implemented within the service team.
• Stay current on service-specific trends, technology, software, hardware and equipment; drive value based on innovation.
• Develop and implement standards for work products such as design standards, reports, specifications, data files, etc.
• Coordinate workload across the region.
• Advise on hiring decisions and identify technical resource needs for the service group.
• Review compensation for consistency across the service team in the region.
• Support market-based and/or service-based business development with technical expertise and survey revenue generation.
• Participate in Westwood’s wellness and safety program and ensure practices are implemented.
• Ensure division, regional, and company policies are followed within the survey service.
• Lead by example with sound judgement, values, trust, honesty, openness, and professionalism.
