Job summary

Westwood Professional Services, Inc. is seeking a Project Surveyor to join our Power Division. This role directs survey projects from planning through completion, ensuring QA/QC and adherence to company standards.

You will lead project teams, mentor staff, collaborate with the Project Manager on tasks, schedules, budgets, and fees, and stay current with surveying technology and regulations.

Qualifications

• Professional surveying license with multi-state licensure preferred.
• Four-year degree in surveying or related field preferred and/or 10+ years in a consulting business.
• Effective verbal and written communication.
• Proven leadership and supervisory skills.
• Ability to handle multiple priorities and projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning and implementation of survey projects and monitor operational effectiveness.
• Serve as subject matter expert for surveying activities such as staking, topo, platting, legal descriptions, boundary analysis, exhibit prep, and legal principles.
• Collaborate with Project Manager to define tasks, schedules, and resource requirements.
• Evaluate project budget, scope, and fees with Project Manager.
• Ensure compliance with company standards, policies, and procedures; maintain QA/QC on survey activities.
• Lead team meetings to coordinate project progress and objectives.
